Dr. Donald Patrick Lim stands as one of the Philippines’ most accomplished and forward-looking leaders in the fields of digital transformation, business innovation, and nation building. He currently serves as President of DITO CME Holdings Corporation, a publicly listed investment holding company with interests in telecommunications, media, and technology, including DITO Telecommunity. He is also the President of the Management Association of the Philippines for 2026.
Over the past two decades, Dr. Lim has held key leadership roles across multiple industries — media, advertising, telecommunications, and digital — making him one of the few executives with deep, cross-sector expertise. He previously served as Country CEO of Dentsu Aegis Philippines, Chief Digital Officer of ABS-CBN Corporation, Managing Director of MRM Manila, and CEO of Yehey Corporation and Media Contacts Manila. Across these positions, he helped shape the evolution of the Philippine digital economy and mentored a new generation of marketing and technology professionals.
Recognizing the need for national collaboration in emerging technologies, Dr. Lim founded the Blockchain Council of the Philippines, the Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines, and the Global AI Council Philippines. These organizations unite government, industry, and academe to build digital trust, advance innovation, and prepare the Philippines for the challenges of an AI-driven and blockchain-enabled future. His leadership has made him a central figure in the country’s efforts to establish governance frameworks and ethical standards in the digital age.
Beyond his corporate and advocacy work, Dr. Lim is a respected educator, researcher, and thought leader. He has taught in leading universities, including the University of Asia and the Pacific, De La Salle University, San Beda University, and Enderun Colleges, where he currently teaches courses on Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. He has also been an adjunct professor at the Asian Institute of Management and Bradford University in the United Kingdom. His dedication to education earned him the Dr. Bienvenido R. Tantoco Sr. Professorial Chair in Marketing from Jose Rizal University, and he once served as a member of the CHED Technical Panel for Marketing and Management Education.
Dr. Lim’s academic credentials reflect a lifelong pursuit of learning and excellence. He earned his Management degree from Ateneo de Manila University, completed his MBA with distinction from Murdoch University, and obtained his Doctor in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He later earned a Master in Public Management from the Ateneo School of Government, as well as diplomas in Interior Decorating, Executive Management, and Hotel and Restaurant Management. He also completed his certification in Pelmanism from the Pelman Institute in Sydney, Australia — a testament to his passion for continuous personal development.
In service to the nation, Dr. Lim proudly serves in the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command as Group Commander of the 12th Air Force Group Reserve, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Class 67 as Best NRI, bringing military discipline and leadership excellence into his professional and civic engagements.
A prolific author and public speaker, Dr. Lim has written several acclaimed books — Cybersecurity Unmasked, Blockchain Unlocked, and AI Unleashed — which explore how technology can be leveraged to drive innovation, strengthen governance, and promote inclusive growth. He is a sought-after speaker in both local and international conferences, addressing topics on digital transformation, leadership, and the future of work.
Dr. Lim’s contributions have earned him numerous national and international honors. He is a Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Awardee for Community Building in Digital Media by JCI International — one of the most prestigious recognitions for Filipino leaders. He is also the first recipient of the Agora Award for Marketing Communicationsfrom the Philippine Marketing Association, a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, and the only Filipino to be included in the DMN 40 Under 40 list in New York. He has likewise received the Digital Marketer of the Year Award from the Asian Confederation of Business in Dubai, the Young Market Masters Award from Mansmith and Fielders, and the Digital Leader of the Future Award at the World Brand Congress in Mumbai.
In the civic sphere, Dr. Lim has served as President of the Philippine Marketing Association, Founding President of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), and Founder of the Creator and Influencer Council of the Philippines (CICP). He is also President of Operation Smile Philippines, a non-profit organization that provides free reconstructive surgery for children with cleft conditions, and has served as a trustee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines.
